As of GSoC's program timeline [2], students will begin coding for their GSoC projects at 26th of May (it's also initial student payments' day :)). Between 26th of May and 7th of July, we have an interim period which mentors and students work together on projects. Starting from 26th of May, we want every student to write a short progress report every week which includes: what you've done in this week, what are you planing to do next week, and (if any) tip that you think it would be helpful for other GSoC students (a good book about Python, etc.) And also we want every student to have a blog (in English) that will help you to get involve with Pardus and Open Source community and give idea about your projects progress (all of your blogs will appear in Planet Pardus [3]). Btw, you can feel free to visit our office whenever you like (The National Research Institute of Electronics and Cryptology (UEAKE)) [4]. Some of you told us that you have finals to be attended in your universities for the following weeks. This is not a problem for us and we think won't be a serious problem if you work harder to catch up others. School comes first. :) For those of you still did not created a blog and send us the feed please do so. We think your gsoc blogs will become very enjoyable to follow. They will be added to our Pardus planet. We and everyone following your blog will be able to follow your progress there. It will also be a good example and provide encouragement for those who want to contribute but dont know where to start. You can write everything that is related to your project. Your findings, how other projects does what you want to do, problems encountered, how you solved the problems, ex... Your blog will become your journal of your Google summer of code project. One other thing is that I have created a directory under our Pardus projects svn repository. [1] For those of you who still do not have an svn account please contact me to get one. You can use here for your projects.
